My Mother

Today, 13.06.2020 EDT and 14.06.2020 IST, I have lost my Mother. She was my first Guru and a friend. Taught me and guided me thru out her life. She has helped me a lot during my difficult time when I was struggling in building my career. I cannot forget her support thru out my life.
I have very fond memories of her. I remember the day when I have taken her out on a date with me. We have gone to a restaurant and enjoyed the food of her choice. I have taken her to various temples wherever she wanted to go.
Today I have lost her. I have lost my Girl Friend. She was herself middle school passed but ensured higher studies of her daughters and grand daughters. Her daughters and granddaughters are successful doctors, HR professionals, engineer, journalist and teacher. I salute her vision of women empowerment thru education whereas she herself was not that educated.
It is unfortunate, I could not get chance to meet her during her last time. I am so unfortunate, I could not see her. Could not talk to her. I am stuck in foreign country amidst covid-19 lock down. I cannot participate in her last rites. It is so unfortunate.
My Mother, you were a noble lady. You were a source of strength to me. I will miss you !!
